In The Mouth Of The Whale

It's publication day of my new novel, and I've added a couple of pages to my web site, one featuring links to all twelve chapters I've made available, the other a brief piece on writing the novel.

There's other free stuff on the web site, by the way - stories and articles, and extracts from other novels.

So looking forward to reading this, and Stories from TQW. I have just bought the Kindle version: the cover has a blurb by Alastair Reynolds (not shown on the cover thumbnail on Amazon.com, so it could be just on the ebook) ... where Mr Reynolds' first name is spelt incorrectly.

Thanks Gerhard - will see if that misspelling can be fixed... (It's correct on the hardback dust jacket.)

Liviu - many thanks for the review!

I have my copy on the way to the US and I too can't wait. This is sort of full circle for me. More than a year ago I read The Quiet War which made me an instant fan. I was lucky to continue the story right away with Gardens in the Sun and since then have bought your entire back catalogue and have read everything you've published. I very soon realized that if you wrote it I'd like it (okay most cases LOVE it) and have really enjoyed the past year immersed in your characters stories and worlds. I've purposely not read a word of the free chapters but thank you for publishing those. It can convince someone to buy the book when they might not have, just from a description. What a treat to have a third book in the series.

Any idea when this will be available in the US? (I know we can order it from Amazon.uk - paper only - but that's a rather expensive option.) I'm left hanging after the last installment of the excerpt - it's not fair!

Also, annoying that this happens over and over again, what's wrong with the publishing industry?

So far, no one has picked it up for publication in the US. I hope Pyr do - they published The Quiet War and Gardens of the Sun and are great to work with. Will of course post news as and when.

Count this as a vote that Pyr picks it up. Lou! Are you listening to us? :)
